A Personal Message from kevin colts
For nearly ten years, it has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to photograph weddings, high school seniors, growing families, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, community events, and so many of life's unforgettable moments.
The Beginning
What many people don't know is that my love for photography didn't begin when I started my business—it began nearly fifty years ago.
When I was ten years old, my mother handed me a Polaroid camera and asked me to take a picture of her and my little sister. I still have that photograph today. My mom and sister have both passed away, but that little Polaroid has become one of my most treasured possessions. It reminds me every day that photographs become more valuable with time. That simple moment shaped the rest of my life.
In 2015, what began as photographing my own son's senior portraits unexpectedly grew into Kevin LaMonte Photography. What started as a hobby became a profession, allowing me to meet incredible people and preserve thousands of memories for families throughout North Texas.
Today, I'm beginning a new chapter.
I've made the decision to permanently close Kevin LaMonte Photography - effective July 31, 2026 - so I can devote my full attention to building FlipSide Mobile Apps and FlipSide Suites, where my mission continues in a different way—helping organizations preserve their relationships, leadership, history, and communities through technology.
Although this chapter is coming to a close, one thing hasn't changed. I still believe that preserving memories matters. If you've ever been photographed by me—or registered to view one of my galleries—I invite you to visit your gallery and explore the final archive preservation options that will remain available before my photography archives are officially retired.
